1. Why do I need an appointment?

It is required to book an appointment to try on wedding gowns so that you have the full attention of our dedicated consultants.  Here at Bella Bridal Gallery, it is our mission to give you the best possible service and meet all of your bridal styling needs.  Booking an appointment will ensure that we have enough time to explore all of your dress wants and needs.

2.  How long will my appointment last?

All of our first appointments are 90 minutes long.  This will allow you enough time to try on a variety of dresses and find one that your love!

3. How far in advance do I need to make my appointment?

Its never too early to purchase your dream wedding gown! Most of our special order dresses take between six and eight months to arrive, and we like to allot three months for the alteration process.  However, if your wedding is less than six months away, there is the option to rush dress orders as well as off'-the-rack' dresses for sale.  The benefits to buying early are that once you have your dream gown, you will be able to plan the rest of your wedding party details.

4. What is a special order gown?

Most of the gowns we sell are special order.  This means that your gown is made specifically for you, by the designer, based on your measurements and the designer's size charts.  Once the gown arrives,  you will make a fitting appointment where you can address any other adjustments that your gown may need, such as a hem or bustle.  Our skilled alterations team will make sure that your dress is fit to perfection.

Pictures and an open mind!  We would love to see images from magazines or social media that fit your idea of what you want to look like on your wedding day.   However, often what we think we like in theory changes once you start trying on gowns.  Be open to different styles, and dont be surprised if you find your dream gown at your first appointment.  Many brides purchase their gown on their first visit.  Remember, dress shopping should be fun!

6. Who should I bring with me?

Bring one or two close friends or family members whose opinion you value and trust.  They should be people who know you well and can help you make the right decision.  Make sure to include those who you want to share this special moment with.  Bringing too many people can take the focus off of you and make the final decision harder.

7. What is the budget I am comfortable with?

Knowing your budget when you come in is crucial to the success of your appointment.  Here at Bella Bridal Gallery, we do everything in our ability to stay within the budget that you provide for us.  Most of our special order dresses range from $1500 to $3500 with few that can be even higher, however we also offer off'-the-rack' dresses for as low as $400). trying_on_wedding_dress-resized-600

8. What are the sizes the salon carries?

The samples that we carry are typically sizes 10 and 12, but we do have smaller and larger sizes, up to size 28. 9. What designers does the salon carry? Bella Bridal Gallery carries a number of designers such as Martina Liana, Essense of Australia,  Aire Barcelona, Aire Beach, Martha Blanc and Blue Willow Bride by Anne Barge.  Many of these designers are exclusive to our salon in Michigan and Metro Detroit. 10. What is a trunk show? A trunk show is a special in-store event, for one weekend, where you can view and buy from a designers latest collection.  If you find your dream gown at a trunk show event, be prepared to order your dress that day, as it will not be in the store once the trunk show is over.  For more information about trunk show dates, please visit our events page.
