What do you think of when you hear designer trunk show?? Well you probably think the same as most and that is where you are looking at wedding gowns out of trunks...literally! We are here to tell you that is not the case and in fact it is the complete opposite of that.
A Trunk show is simply showcasing the new collection of dresses for a designer that the store carries. Most bridal shops will have at least one trunk show a year for each designer they carry. This gives the future brides a chance to come and see the new collection of dresses that the designer of their liking carries and makes it a bit more exclusive for them. 
There are some other great perks that come along with a designer trunk show as well. When a bride purchases her gown during a trunk show event it makes the experience a bit more special because those wedding gowns are only being featured for a short time...usually just that weekend! Sometimes the representative for that specific designer will also attend the bridal salons trunk shows which makes the try-on experience even better! 
Trunk shows are often scheduled with the bridal salon months ahead of time. This gives time for the store to advertise about their upcoming trunk show schedule and leave time for try-on appointments to be made. So if you are a bride looking for a specific designer and want to see their newest collection or even just a big selection of their gowns that the store would not usually carry than a designer trunk show is perfect for you! Remember that these events book up fast so be sure to leave yourself plenty of time to make the appointment.
