The bridal gown trunk show is a fantastic opportunity for a bride-to-be. With her appointment, she will have the designers newest dresses at her fingertips. We know you've had your favorite gowns bookmarked for months but it isn't always easy to find a specific gown.
That's where trunk sows are so great! You can ask the store which dresses they are receiving and see if you can request a special dress to come with it. That way you are sure to be able to see your favorite dress along with the others.
This week we received e Sophia Tolli Spring 2012 gowns from the renowned Australian designer. they arrived in 6 large boxes, each one in its own bag. Once removed from their packaging, the steaming begins! This usually takes us hours (sometimes days) to complete depending of how busy we are working with our customers.
Next, we choose which gowns we will showcase on mannequins in the front of the store.
After all the mannequins have been dressed and slips have been added for extra elegance, we can relax a bit. We then focus on confirming our appointments and adding some last minute touches to bring the event together. At our shop in West Bloomfield, Michigan, we try to book trunk shows with our designers throughout the year so brides have the opportunity to see the gowns in person!
